Sweet Papillon - About Us
 In 1998 it started with a passion for collecting old bits of costume
jewellery "everywhere I went I found and collected beads. Vintage
beads, new beads, old charms, antique broaches… I was lucky to
spot a big box of unusual beads which I bought from a man who was a
jeweller in new York in the 60's."
This inspired a passion from which Nicole has never looked back and
resulted in the creation of the exquisite jewellery label 'Sweet
Papillon'. Every piece is designed and hand-made by Nicole
Sharratt.
Nicole then started to sell at Bondi and Balmain Markets in Sydney and
gained an enthusiastic following. In 2002, Nicole was asked to
design and create a range of jewellery along side 'Sass & Bide' for
the Versace Exhibition in Sydney. By this stage she was featuring
in fashion magazines and selling to both local and international
boutiques.
A talent for sourcing unique and unusual pieces of jewellery, combined
with inspirational travels through out the world, culminated in a style
which is classic, detailed, timeless and very feminine.
2 years ago Nicole opened her retail boutique, 'Sweet Papillon' in
Byron Bay where she continues to create exquisite, one off, hand-made
pieces of jewellery. Here she is well known for her
artistic designs and individual hand-made pieces and can be seen
creating her jewellery here. It is her unique, creative style with
every piece of jewellery hand-made that makes her jewellery so
desirable.
